Enjoy the little things

Hi friends,

I’m back today to share a guest design creation for Digi Doodle Studios using the super sweet digital image called Sunny Bea Garden Girl.

Sometime I wish I paid more attention to the little things…sometimes they can be what matters the most! I know I’m guilty sometimes of being so busy that I miss some of the fabulous little things in life like these adorable little lady bugs.

I printed this little cutie on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30, R00
Hair: E49, E57, E55, YR21, E51
Shirt: C2, C0, B66, RV55, Y15, White Gel Pen
Sky: B000, B0000
Green: G99, G94, YG03, YG11, YG01, G20
Purple: B66, B63, B60
Shoes: C5, C4, C3, C2, C0
Ladybugs: R27, R24, R05
Pink: RV55, RV63, RV52
Yellow: Y23, Y21, YR31, YR30
Fine Details were added with Prismacolor Pencils

The centerpiece of my card was cut with Unity Stamps Scallops & Arches Nesting Dies. The die was quite long compared to the image so I “fussy” die cut it in both directions so it would cut out shorter than the die is. The scallop die in the background is from LaLa Land Crafts.

The trees were ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink in the color Bundled Sage.

Today it’s all about you

Hi friends!

I am back today with beautiful flowers from Crafty Meraki. This gorgeous flower spray is from the stamp set called Reason to Smile, which I paired with two different mini slimline dies for my card.

I stamped this gorgeous flower spray on Neenah Solar Crest paper and colored it with the following colored pencils.

~Prismacolor pencils~
Pinks: 994, 1019, 1017, 929, 928, 1014, 1013, 938
Yellows: 1052, 942, 1012, 916, 1011, 914, 938
Greens: 911, 988, 1096, 913, 912, 1004, 938
Purples: 1078, 996, 956, 1026, 938
Bluegreen: 1054, 907, 936, 1020, 120, 1089, 938
Background shading: 1054, 1052, 1021, 1086, 938

Once I had the flowers all colored I fussy cut them out and set them aside. My card base is standard mini slimline size of 6.25″ x 3.5″. I die cut the Timeless Frames Mini Slimline die out of blue patterned paper.

Using the leftover rectangle from the center of the die I carefully lined up the paper on the Bar None Mini Slimline die and die cut it. It does come out in just strips of paper, so it’s important to keep the strips in the same order. I glued every other strip in the center of the Timeless Frames die.

Once I had them all glued in place, I adhered the flower spray to the card with double sided foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Pinkfresh ‘You are my favorite‘ stamp set. A few sparkly sequins added just the perfect touch.
