Born to Rock

Good morning!

It’s time for another new release at Whimsy Stamps, and oh my goodness…I was certainly challenged with this little Rock Star from the Goth Star clear stamp set!  I am a country music fan, so I really had to put my thinking cap on…lol!  I envisioned him being on a stage rockin’ out with his hard core rock fans.

Pam_

I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with the following copic markers.  Once I was finished coloring I took some time and fussy cut him out…even the tiny guitar cord!

Born-to-Rock2I started with a 5 1/2″ square card base.  To that I added a layer of black, and a layer of red that was stamped in black with the Goth Skull background stamp.  The next set of layers start with the striped layer measuring 4 3/8″ x 5 3/8″.

Born-to-Rock1

I die cut a circle using one of the dies from the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set and inked it up with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on a black scrap of paper before adhering to the assembled card with foam tape.

As always, there is an abundance of inspiration to be found in the store here.

Hello everyone!

I fell in love with this little sweetie called Fleur from Whimsy Stamps the moment I saw her!  She is so adorable and could be used for pretty much any card theme.

My card base is  a top folding A2 size card with lots of layers added on top.  I had so much fun creating the double shaker elements to this card.  I used two layers of craft foam in place of foam tape so the little shaker bits didn’t stick.

The green and white layer was stamped with the Scratchy Plaid Background stamp.  The rest of the paper is from my stash.

Hello and good morning!

I am back again today with another gorgeous mermaid from Whimsy Stamp’s July new release collection.  This little mermaid with her super fun little fish balloons is beyond adorable!!  She is one of the adorable mermaids in the Mermaid Birthday Clear Stamp Set.  I couldn’t resist…I had to color my very first pink hair…lol

Pam_Mermaid Birthday_Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies

I stamped this little cutie on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with the following Copic Sketch Markers, and fussy cut her out.

Fish:  YR15/Y35/Y11-000, YG25/03/01/00, V04/01/00, Lips:  RV55

Shellebrate2

I started with a 4″ square white card base, added a white layer that was 3 7/8″ square, and a pink layer that was 3 3/4″ square.

For the inside piece of the shaker element, I inked up a piece of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, added the Shellebrate sentiment from the same stamp set, and cut it into a circle.

Shellebrate3

To create the outside circle frame, I taped two of the circle dies together with purple tape; and then while they were taped together, I cut the frame out of the starfish print paper.  I then cut two more of the circle frames out of white craft foam.   I cut one plain circle shape of clear acetate.  I taped the clear acetate to the back of the starfish frame with Scor-Tape 1/4 inch.  I used the same tape to adhere the two layers of foam tape to the back of the same piece.  Once I had the shaker bits in the center of the blue sentiment circle, (keeping still so I didn’t lose any of the pretties), I then taped it down to the actual card.

The paper is from Echo Park- Let’s Be Mermaids.

Thank you so very much

Hello again!

I was flooded with memories of my Grandma as I created with this gorgeous new release from Whimsy Stamps called Ivy Chair Rubber Cling Stamp.  Her climbing rose bushes were always gorgeous and smelled heavenly.  I was reminded how much I miss her!

Ivy-Chair2

I started with a cream card base that was 5 1/2 inches square.  Added a cream layer 5 3/8 inches square and then the blue dotted layer 5 1/4 inches square.  The middle band of blue/cream paper measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/4, layered with cream card stock that was die cut with the scalloped border from the Kinetic Straight Basics Die Set.  I used the largest oval from the Basic Stitched Ovals Die Set for my image, and then cut around the actual metal die to create a mat to put behind it.

Skinny Girl Cupcakes

Good morning!

Who doesn’t love a yummy cupcake…and who really wants to count the calories…lol!

These scrumptious cupcakes are from Whimsy Stamp’s July new release Calories Schmalories Clear Stamps Set. They look good enough to eat!  How tempting…

Skinny-Girl-Cupcakes

These remind me of all the delicious cupcakes I used to make for birthday parties when my girls were little.

I started with a 5×6 card base, adding layers about 1/8 smaller than the last.  The cupcakes were cut out using my Scan N’Cut and popped them up with foam tape to appear as though they were sitting on a bakery shelf.
