I think your “soda” awesome

Good morning!

I am back today with another retro themed card featuring ‘Car Hop Clara‘ and the ‘Burger and Soda Die‘ from C.C. Designs Stamps.  This was such a fun set to work with!

I had so much fun creating the burger for the sign!  I cut all the pieces out using X-Press It Blending Card so I could color them to look like an actual burger.  Once all the pieces were colored and assembled I tackled the hard part of figuring out where to put the completed burger.  I finally decided on a wall sign for the diner Miss Clara works in…lol.

I used the Quad Collage Die to cut out the sentiment and finished the card with a few coordinating enamel dots from the store.

As always, there is an abundance of inspiration to be found in the store here.

Don’t be such a drip

I used the Arched Window Die to create my card shape by tracing around the outside edge of the die and hand cutting from the pencil line.  I added some digital paper behind the arched frame to create a spooky effect.

Candle Creeps2

All of the pieces for the candelabra were fussy cut before attaching with foam tape.  The bats are from the Dracula Going Batty Die Set.

C.C. Designs ~ You can do anything!

Good morning everyone!

Oh my goodness…I was SO excited to work with ‘Rosie Riveter‘ from the September New Release from C.C. Designs.   I immediately thought of war planes and was on a mad hunt for paper to make my idea work.

Rosie is such an iconic part of World War II.  The women had to help out and work in a variety of positions that were previously closed to them.  The aviation industry saw the greatest increase in female workers during our country’s time of need.

Rosie the Riveter2

I printed Rosie on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following copic markers:

~Copics~
Skin:  E11/00/000/0000-R20/30  Eyes:  BG72/70  Lips:  E04-R32/30
Pants:  B97/95/93/91-YR23/Y15/Y11
Bandana:  R46/27/24 – white gel pen
Shirt, Socks, and Rag:  N2/1/0
Shoes:  N8/5/4/3

Rosie the Riveter1

I wasn’t originally going to fussy cut her out, but one of my markers wasn’t playing nice and blobbed on my image.  I had to take a deep breath and figure out how to save her as I only had her shoes left to color.  So…my plans changed and I am so pleased with how she turned out.  I call that a happy accident.  The airplanes are all fussy cut.

The paper is from a digi file I purchased on Etsy found here.  The dies are from Momma Elephant and La-La Land Crafts.

As always, there is an abundance of inspiration to be found in the store here.

Welcome Little One

Good morning everyone!

Who says Zebra’s have to be black and white?  I couldn’t resist turning ‘Z is for Zebra‘ from All Dressed Up Stamps into this adorable little gift tag.

Welcome Little One

This super sweet Zebra was printed on X-Press It Blending Card and was colored with Copic Markers.

~Copics~
R00/000/0000-RV00/000/0000-BV20

Welcome Little One1

I pleated some pretty pink ribbon with a needle before
tucking it behind the sentiment strip.

Welcome Little One2

The patterned paper was a small scrap I had in my stash.  It kind of looks like faint gray Zebra stripes, and it has pink flowers which is always a bonus in my book…lol!

Welcome Little One3

The dies are from Marianne Designs (Tag set-CR1352), La-La Land Crafts, Magnolia, and Rox Stamps.  I die cut the smaller tag twice, once on the patterned paper and once out of a white scrap.  I then glued them together to make it appear like it was thicker.

I finished it off with a few adorable flowers and a little bling.

The gorgeous flowers are from I Am Roses, the links are below:

Tidings of Joy

Hello everyone!

Can we say ADORABLE??…it’s new release time again at Whimsy Stamps.  My inspiration today came from the super adorable Ellie’s Bauble rubber stamp.  I completely fell in love with this little sweetie!!

Tidings of Joy

As always, I stamped this little sweetie on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following copic markers.

~Copics~
Grays:  W3/2/1/0/00/BV23
Pinks:  RV00/000/0000
Purples:  BV04/02/01/000/0000/RV000

Tidings of Joy1

I created a shaker element with the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set and lots of clear sparkly shaker bits from my stash.  I fussy cut out Ellie and attached her to the front of the completed element.  I die cut two leaf sets from the Peony Flower Die.  The one on the left side of the card was cut apart (right leaf only).  The set of two leaves was attached to the main card and the right leaf was attached on top of the shaker element before attaching the thread and flowers.

I heat embossed the Lots of Dots Background stamp to the white border at the bottom with white embossing powder.  It is hard to see in photographs, but it is really pretty in person.  I also added white flower soft to the fuzzy parts of her hat, and sparkly bling to the centers of the snowflakes.

The sentiment is from the Holiday Mini Sentiments clear stamp set.

Tidings of Joy2

I added the following flowers from I Am Roses:
R2-518 – Mini Variegated White – Soft Pink Paper Flowers
T1-2 – Soft Pink Mini Artificial Paper Crafts Rosebuds
R2-426 – Mini Mixed Rainbow Pastel color Paper Flowers
S10-15 – White Small Craft Paper Flowers
R2-15 – Mini White Paper Flowers
ZR4-2 – Soft Pink Small Arabian Jasmine
