Good morning everyone!
Oh my goodness…I was SO excited to work with ‘Rosie Riveter‘ from the September New Release from C.C. Designs. I immediately thought of war planes and was on a mad hunt for paper to make my idea work.
Rosie is such an iconic part of World War II. The women had to help out and work in a variety of positions that were previously closed to them. The aviation industry saw the greatest increase in female workers during our country’s time of need.
I printed Rosie on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following copic markers:
~Copics~
Skin: E11/00/000/0000-R20/30 Eyes: BG72/70 Lips: E04-R32/30
Pants: B97/95/93/91-YR23/Y15/Y11
Bandana: R46/27/24 – white gel pen
Shirt, Socks, and Rag: N2/1/0
Shoes: N8/5/4/3
I wasn’t originally going to fussy cut her out, but one of my markers wasn’t playing nice and blobbed on my image. I had to take a deep breath and figure out how to save her as I only had her shoes left to color. So…my plans changed and I am so pleased with how she turned out. I call that a happy accident. The airplanes are all fussy cut.
The paper is from a digi file I purchased on Etsy found here. The dies are from Momma Elephant and La-La Land Crafts.
As always, there is an abundance of inspiration to be found in the store here.
