Good morning Crafty Peeps!

The amazing bond between sisters starts at birth and grows stronger every day.  These two sisters are just starting their journey together…such sweetness!!

My design team project for I Am Roses features an adorable stamp from Stamping Bella called Tiny Townie Big Sister.  I absolutely love how fine their images stamp!

The Coffee Word Die was die cut out of plain brown paper with little dots added with a White Gel Pen.  The layers were glued together and then popped up with double sided foam tape to give the card dimension.  Marci and the hamster were popped up with two layers of foam tape to make them look like they are standing in front of the center.

Oh my goodness…how sweet is this little bear from Digi Doodle Studios?  I just want to pinch her cute little cheeks!

This little cutie is part of a stamp set called Sweet Honey Bears Pairables.  There are several sweet Pairable sets to be found in the store.

Oh my gosh..how adorable are these Laundry Cats?  I wish I had cute little kittens that washed and hung up my laundry!

I die cut the scalloped rectangle die partially from one direction, carefully moved it down to the desired size and taped it down.  I then turned it around and partially die cut it from the opposite direction.

The background was ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink with the Daisies on my Mind Layering Stencil.

Hello and Happy Friday!

It’s time for a little inspiration from Team Friday at La-La Land Crafts.  Our theme this week is anything goes.

I was drawn to this Birds of a Feather Clear Stamp Set the moment I saw it as I have a tropical bird.  He is a Sun Conure named Tiki, and will be 19 on the 4th of July….and he can definitely be a loud and crazy bird.

Good morning!

The days are finally getting warmer and the sun in shining!!  Oh how I have been waiting for it to be nice enough to want to be outside!  Let’s see if I can keep the deer out of my flower beds this year so I can actually see some of my flowers bloom.

This sweet image is from All Dressed Up Stamp’s May new release and is called Sunflower.  Such an adorable image to work with!

The paper is from my stash and the dies are from La-La Land Crafts and Newton’s Nook.

To achieve the look of the sunflower peeking out of the top of the oval, I colored what is inside the oval and then die cut it.  I then colored another sunflower in it’s entirety, fussy cut it out and carefully glued it on top.

Happy Friday!

It’s once again Inspiration Friday at La-La Land Crafts.  Our theme this week is to use products from the new release.

Courage Marci is prepared to fight like a girl!  I am sending lots of hugs and hope her way.

I stamped this little sweetheart on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following Copic Markers.

To create the outside ribbon border I die cut 4 of the Awareness Ribbon Die from pink cardstock.  I place the die cuts upside down on a rotary mat used for quilting which has measurements on it so that I could make sure that it stayed square.  I taped the pieces to the mat using Scotch removable tape so that I could glue the corners together.  Once the glue was dry I could then remove the piece and glue it to my card.

I then die cut the scalloped square using the Scalloped Rectangles Die, partially cutting from both directions, moving the die over in order to create a square.   The Double Stitched Squares Die was cut in the same way so that it fit the size of the opening.

I knew I wanted to create a shaker card with the Hope Heart Die, but needed the top of the heart to be a little bit thicker in order to add the double sided foam tape without it being visible.  I knew if I matted the heart it would be just thick enough to make it work.

To create the matting around the heart I taped the Hope Heart Die onto a piece of pink cardstock and lightly traced around the outside and the inside with a fine point pencil and then carefully fussy cut it out by hand.
