Happy Friday!

It’s once again Inspiration Friday at La-La Land Crafts.  Our theme this week is to use products from the new release.

Courage Marci is prepared to fight like a girl!  I am sending lots of hugs and hope her way.

I stamped this little sweetheart on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following Copic Markers.

~Copics~

Grays:  W4, W2, W1, W0, W00

To create the outside ribbon border I die cut 4 of the Awareness Ribbon Die from pink cardstock.  I place the die cuts upside down on a rotary mat used for quilting which has measurements on it so that I could make sure that it stayed square.  I taped the pieces to the mat using Scotch removable tape so that I could glue the corners together.  Once the glue was dry I could then remove the piece and glue it to my card.

I then die cut the scalloped square using the Scalloped Rectangles Die, partially cutting from both directions, moving the die over in order to create a square.   The Double Stitched Squares Die was cut in the same way so that it fit the size of the opening.

I knew I wanted to create a shaker card with the Hope Heart Die, but needed the top of the heart to be a little bit thicker in order to add the double sided foam tape without it being visible.  I knew if I matted the heart it would be just thick enough to make it work.

To create the matting around the heart I taped the Hope Heart Die onto a piece of pink cardstock and lightly traced around the outside and the inside with a fine point pencil and then carefully fussy cut it out by hand.

I miss your face1

To create the siding I die cut several wood grain pieces from the Fireplace Die and then colored them with the colors listed above.  I used a scrap piece of cardstock as a base in which to glue the die cut pieces to, making sure that I left enough room for the window.  the pieces were staggered to resemble how siding is attached to a real house.  For the roof piece I carefully die cut it so that I could get it a little longer using the same die, just extending it in my die cutting machine.

It is Inspiration Friday at La-La Land Crafts, and today I am sharing my inspiration using several items from April’s new release.

These beautiful roses, the adorable pocket, and the gorgeous paper all pair so wonderfully together.

I stamped the roses from the ‘Your Kindness Background Stamp Set‘ on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Ink in Desert Sand and then colored them with the following Copic Markers.

I stamped the background stamp from the ‘Your Kindness Background Stamp Set‘ with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  I stamped the stitching with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink using the ‘A Pocket Full Clear Stamp Set‘.  Once all the stamping was done, I die cut the adorable pocket with the ‘Three Pockets Die‘.
