It’s a new day

Hi friends!

Isn’t it amazing that we get to start each day with a fresh new start? A new dawn…a new day!

I am back today with a gorgeous floral card for Crafty Meraki. These beautiful flowers were created with a fabulous set of dies called ‘Rachel Meraki Para Dies‘. The scalloped frame die is from the die set called Timeless Frames Mini Slimline Para-Dies.

I die cut the flowers with Neenah Solar Crest White 110lb paper and colored them with the following markers:

~Copics~
Pinks: RV09, RV55, RV02, RV10, V20
Greens: YG95, YG93, YG91, YG11
Browns: E29, E27, E25, E23
Colorless Blender

I started with a card base that measures 6-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ (mini slimline size). To that I added a white panel 6-1/8″ x 3-3/8″, a gold panel 6″ x 3 1/4″, and a pink print panel 5-7/8″ x 3-1/8″.

I then diecut the middle size scalloped frame die out of white paper, adding a white panel that fit behind the frame. This panel was adhered to my card with double sided foam tape, being careful to center it before it was stuck down.

The flowers were arranged and glued down with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Pinkfresh Studios It’s a New Day Floral stamp set. Once cut and matted, I attached it to my card with double sided tape.

HELLO THERE

Hello friends!

I am back today with another cutie from All Dressed Up Stamps. This little sweetheart is called Dog Walker. I absolutely love that sweet little braid she has in her hair…so utterly adorable!!

Walking with our dogs was my intention 5 years ago when we got two Mini Australian Shepherd puppies. They however do not like to walk on the country roads next to the cars…and they eat things faster than I can see what they put in their mouths. So needless to say I still walk by myself.

I printed this cutie on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00
Hair: E57, E55, E53
Dress & Boots: BG13, BG11, BG10, BV20, Y00, BV23, R43, RV42, R30, R00, C4, C2
Backpack: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, BV23, R43, R30
Bunny: C4, C2, C0, R20
Dogs: E34, E31, E30
Grass: YG67, YG63, YG61, G43, G40

The dies are from Sunny Studio Stamps and Magnolia DooHickeys. I layered the flowers together and added a single stamen to make the flowers look a little more 3D.

You’re SPOOK-tacular

Hello everyone!

I am back today with a little cutie from Streamside Studios digital new release stamp set called My Little Pet Ghost.

When I saw this darling image I envisioned her in a fancy pink dress, so that is what she is dressed in today. I had SO much fun adding the flowers.

I printed this sweetheart on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30, R00
Hair: 100, C8, C6, C4, C2
Dress: BV20, RV25, RV23, RV21, R00, R000 – 100. C4, C2, White Gel Pen
Grays: 100, C8, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1, C00

I love the cute little animal ghosts from this set and wanted to be sure to use them in this project. I found a creative way to incorporate them into my design by creating an arrangement with them and printing them on pink paper. I LOVE how it turned out!!

The dies are from Spellbinders, My Favorite Things, Gina Marie Designs, Impression Obsession, and Cheery Lynn.

For my project today I chose to work with the Fairy Fun Digital Stamp Set. I did color up one of the super adorable fairies as well, but decided this gorgeous rose needed to be front and center today…lol!!

I printed this gorgeous rose on X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with the following markers.

~Copics~
Rose: BV20, RV63, RV52, RV55, RV02, RV00, RV000, YR23, Y15, Y11, Y00, YG03

You are Mermazing

Hello friends!

Woot Woot!! I can finally share some exciting news…I have joined up with all the talented ladies at Crafty Meraki and will be designing beside them.

My first card as a design team member was created with the super adorable stamp set called Mertini on the Rocks, and the Bubble Mania Mini Slimline Die. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could transform ourselves into a mermaid for the day and zoom through the water to look at all the gorgeous coral and aquatic life. That’s not asking for too much is it?

These little cuties were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with the following Markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20
Boy with Seal: B97, B95, B91, B05, B04, B00, Colorless Blender Hair: E37, YR23, Y15, Y11

Plant: YG17, YG03, YG01
Coral: R35, YR18, YR16, YR14, Y06

If you follow my blog, you know I love layers. To achieve a layered look, I started my card with a card base of 6-3/8″ x 3-5/8″. Next I die cut the Bubble Mania Mini Slimline Die out of white paper, and glued it down to the pre-printed water look paper. This piece was then glued to a 6-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece of white paper, and finally glued to the card base. All of the elements were also attached with liquid glue or double sided foam tape. The sentiment is included in the Mertini on the Rocks Clear Stamp Set.

Seas the day

Hello friends!

A couple weeks ago I went to the shores of Lake Superior with my cousin and did this exact same thing…took my shoes off and walked in the water. It felt so good to simply relax and soak in the sounds of the waves.

Today I am sharing this super sweet image called ‘Ship Ahoy‘ from All Dressed Up Stamps. I really love this image!

I printed this adorable image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with the following markers.

~Copics~

Flowers: YG17, YG03, C3, C1, YR23, Y15, Y11
Sea Shells: E71, E70, R12, R11, R00
Reds: R89, R46, R27, R24, R22
Grays: C4, C3, C1, C00
Water: BG45, BG02, B02, BG11, BG10, B000, B00

Sky: B00, B000, B0000, BG0000, CB
Clouds: C3, White Colored Pencil
Sand: E31, E43, E42, E40, E30, E50

I drew the island with the palm trees in by hand. I just picked a starting point and started sketching them in with the lightest color markers for that area. The dies are from Memory Box and Gummiapan.

Let’s go swimming

Hello everyone!

If you follow my blog you probably have figured out that you rarely see boy theme card amongst my posts…even though I will soon have 5 grandsons! My favorite color is pink, which doesn’t work too well on boy things.

With that being said, I was assigned this cute little boy called ‘Duck Swim‘ to work with for my new release project for All Dressed Up Stamps. While scrolling through Facebook I saw a card designed by the very talented Maartje Kraaijenhagen and thought maybe I could cross my fingers and toes and hope that I could color something similar…lol. I asked her if she would mind if I used her design of course…and this is what I came up with.

I am SO proud of myself that I was able to achieve what I had in mind!!

I printed this adorable little one on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30, R00
Hair: E59, E57, E55, E53
Oranges: YR18, YR16, YR15, Y38, Y35
Yellows: YR23, Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11, Y00
Reds: R89, R46, R27, R24, R22
Grays: W6, W5, W4, W3, W2, W1, W0, W00
Greens: G28, YG67, YG17, YG13
Crab: E99, E97, E13, E11, E21, Y32
Sand: E55, E33, E31, E30, E41, E40
Water: BG45, BG02, B02, BG11, BG10, B000, B00
Sky: Y00, Y000, YR31, YR30, YR000, RV000, R0000, BG01, B91, B0000, BG0000
White Gel Pen

I thought about adding a sentiment, but couldn’t bring myself to cover anything up!

Just look at that adorable little face! He’s just needs a little friend to go swimming with him…
