I am using the super adorable Mister Mummy Rubber Cling Stamp for my Halloween inspiration for this month long blog celebration.

I stamped this super fun image on X-Press It Blending card.

I ink blended the background with distress ink using:  Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, and Fossilized Amber.  While this was drying, I fussy cut out Mister Mummy and die cut all all the die cut pieces.

I assembled the center piece and then popped it up with foam tape before adhering it to the A2 size card base that was layered with cardstock.  The Mummy, sentiment, and upper bat were also popped up for added dimension.

Happy World Cardmaking Day!  I am so glad you joined all of us at Whimsy Stamps for this amazing day of sharing our handcrafted projects with you all.

World Cardmaking Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the art of handmade cards – whether made with construction paper and crayons or with more sophisticated supplies. As we crafters can all agree, a store-bought card, while nice, just can’t replace the personal and thoughtful nature of one made by hand. Today, the Whimsy Design Teams are honoring this craft with two hops – one here and another on Instagram. For each hop Whimsy Stamps is giving away a $25 gift certificate to the store. The card I have to share with you today is using the adorable Penguin Trick or Treaters Rubber Cling Stamp coupled with the Notched Rectangles Die Set.

Not many people know that Penguins are my favorite animal.  I SO wish I could have one as a pet…lol!  This little trio is just simply adorable all dressed up for a night of trick or treating!

I stamped these super cute penguins onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with the following Copic Markers.

I drew in the detail on the little pirates treat bag with the markers that I used to color other parts of the stamp.  I hand wrote the word BOO on his bag when I was done with the design.

I die cut the image with the Notched Rectangle Die Set and matted it with black paper before adhering it to the card with foam tape.  Orange rhinestones were added to the corners of the black for added interest.

Hi All!

I am back today to share my last bit of inspiration from Whimsy Stamp’s September release.  This beautiful stamp is called Southwestern Home Display.

I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card and used the following Copic markers to add gorgeous color.

The card base is A2 size (5.5″ x 4.25″).  I cut out the image with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles Die Set and added several layers of coordinating cardstock.  I cut out the word Celebrate from the Celebrate Word and Shadow Die Set and added it to the bottom of my card.

Hey all!

Halloween is getting closer…one drip at a time!  This spooky set is from Whimsy Stamp’s new release and is called Candle Creeps.  There are five creepy candles to choose from in this stamp set.

I used the Arched Window Die to create my card shape by tracing around the outside edge of the die and hand cutting from the pencil line.  I added some digital paper behind the arched frame to create a spooky effect.

All of the pieces for the candelabra were fussy cut before attaching with foam tape.  The bats are from the Dracula Going Batty Die Set.

Hello everyone!

Squeeeeee…it’s new release time again at Whimsy Stamps.  My inspiration today came from the Build-a-Pumpkin Die Set, the Falling Leaves Background stamp, and the Dracula Going Batty Die Set.

I had so much fun being a little creative with this die cut.  I tried my hand at a little cat face drawing and turned this pumpkin into a pumpkin kitty….I LOVE how it turned out!!

I die cut this pumpkin shape on X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with the following Copic Markers.

I stamped the background with the Falling Leaves Background stamp.  I chose to keep it black and white as the pumpkin is pretty bright.  I added a little black and white stripe paper from My Favorite Things to the bottom, and a few bats from the Dracula Going Batty Die Set.

The sentiment was created with stamps from the Going Batty Stamp Set.  Once I had it stamped, I die cut it out with the Quick Strips Die Set.
