CC Designs ~ Merry Christmas

Hi All!

Squeee…it’s my favorite animal again…the super adorable penguin!!  These little cuties are from the CC Designs new release.  They are part of the new stamp set called ‘Christmas Together‘…and I absolutely love them!!

The sentiment was cut using the smallest die from the Large Banner Die Set.  The frame die is from Mama Elephant.  I added a few adhesive backed pearls to mimic snow falling.

Good morning!

I know it’s fall, and I should be coloring in fall colors…but this girl loves pink! LOL

Today I am sharing my love of flowers from I Am Roses and a super sweet image from The Paper Shelter called Angel.  Oh my goodness…such a sweet face!

World Card Making DayHappy World Cardmaking Day!  I am so glad you joined all of us at Whimsy Stamps for this amazing day of sharing our handcrafted projects with you all.

World Cardmaking Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the art of handmade cards – whether made with construction paper and crayons or with more sophisticated supplies. As we crafters can all agree, a store-bought card, while nice, just can’t replace the personal and thoughtful nature of one made by hand. Today, the Whimsy Design Teams are honoring this craft with two hops – one here and another on Instagram. For each hop Whimsy Stamps is giving away a $25 gift certificate to the store. To increase your chances of winning, be sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop. All comments must be left by midnight EST on Saturday, October 12th. One winner will be randomly-chosen from each hop, and both winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on Sunday, October 13th.

 

The card I have to share with you today is using the adorable Penguin Trick or Treaters Rubber Cling Stamp coupled with the Notched Rectangles Die Set.

Not many people know that Penguins are my favorite animal.  I SO wish I could have one as a pet…lol!  This little trio is just simply adorable all dressed up for a night of trick or treating!

I stamped these super cute penguins onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with the following Copic Markers.

Penguin Trick or Treaters

I drew in the detail on the little pirates treat bag with the markers that I used to color other parts of the stamp.  I hand wrote the word BOO on his bag when I was done with the design.

I die cut the image with the Notched Rectangle Die Set and matted it with black paper before adhering it to the card with foam tape.  Orange rhinestones were added to the corners of the black for added interest.

C.C. Designs Preview Day 2: Tiny Christmas

Hello everyone!

We are on day 2 of Previews for the OCTOBER Release at C.C. Designs.  This month it’s all about Christmas …and it’s cuteness overload!! The release will be available for purchase this Thursday at 12pm CST.

Today I am previewing these little cuties from the Tiny Christmas clear stamp set and the matching Tiny Christmas Outline Dies.  I absolutely love this little set!

There will be 5 new stamp sets in the October release, an adorable Make A Reindeer Metal Die, a new Christmas Paper Pad, and some coordinating Christmas Enamel Dots.

I started with stamping these little sweeties on X-Press It Blending Card with CC Designs Black Olive Ink.  Once I was done with all the coloring I die cut the images with the matching dies, setting them aside while I cut out and constructed the little treat bags.

Tiny Christmas1

I added sparkly silver trees die cut from the Winter Border Die before I attached the images with double sided foam tape.  I added a bow and a red jingle bell to one side of the handle.

Zombie Love

Hi everyone!

It’s new release time again at Whimsy Stamps.  I decided to take a little different twist to what normally comes to mind when you think of Zombies.  Since these hands from the Zombie-licious Clear Stamp Set are in the shape of a heart, I turned them into a love themed card.

I created the shaker element with the Shaker Maker Banner Die Set and some white tulle, adding different supplies for the shaker bits.  I added die cut leaves from the Leaf Foliage 2 Die Set and some flowers to the top of the shaker element to complete my card.

The card base is A2 size (5.5″ x 4.25″).  I cut out the image with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles Die Set and added several layers of coordinating cardstock.  I cut out the word Celebrate from the Celebrate Word and Shadow Die Set and added it to the bottom of my card.

Jingle Owl the Way

Oh my goodness…I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it!!  Who can resist this sweet little face?
