Hooray!

Good morning everyone!

I am back today to share my DT creation for Magnolia-licious using the incredibly adorable stamp from Magnolia called Hooray Tilda.  She seems so happy to just be herself!

This month we were given the theme of using our birthstone.  My birthday is in June, and there always seems to be two options…Pearl and Alexandrite…so I used both!

Make Today Amazing

Hello everyone!

I am back today with a DT project for Conie Fong.  I am working with the super sweet image called Little Blossom.  She is so adorable!

My new goal is to get myself out of my comfort zone and try new things.  With this being said, I have made my very first easel card!  I hope you like it as much as I do.

Make Today Amazing

I printed this adorable image on X-Press It Blending Card and then colored her with the following Copic Markers.

~Copics~
Skin:  E04/11/21/00/000/0000-R20/30/00
Hair:  E55/31/53/50
Lips:  E04/R23/R000
Blues:  B02/01/00/000/0000/C4
Leaves:  YG17/03/01
Yellows:  Y35/11/00
Reds:  R46/27/24/14

Make Today Amazing1

Once I was done with the coloring, I cut out the image on my Scan N’ Cut before attaching her to the front of the card.

Make Today Amazing2

The dies are from My Favorite Things, and Memory Box.  The paper is from ScrapBerry’s.

I cut out the Memory Box (circle with flowers) 3 times cutting off the flowers on the top two layers.  I then glued all of them together with the two plain circles on the top so it would appear to have a little depth.  The background was created with the mini cloud stencil from My Favorite Things and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I created the sentiment in Microsoft Word, added a mat behind with red cardstock.  I then used 3D foam tape to adhere it to the card.  As always…I added a little bling…lol

As always there are many more cuties to be found in the shop here.

Thank you so much for stopping by…hope to see you soon!

Let’s Play Dress Up

Hello everyone!

Many, many moons ago I used to love to play dress up!  This little cutie sure does as well.  For my inspiration today for Magnolia-licious, I chose to create with the adorable rubber stamp called Dress Up Avery from Paper Nest Dolls.

I am so very proud of myself!!  This is the first time I have tried working with Foamiran Flowers.  Not too bad for my first try!!  Just needed to convince myself that I could do it.

Dress Up Avery2

The flowers were really fun to create!  I do know that I need more practice…lol

Dress Up Avery3

The flowers were created with .6mm white Foamiran.  I used the three smallest dies from the Lady E Design Flower 001 Cutting Die Set for my flowers and colored them with a little ink from my stash before heating them.  Once I had heated and manipulated each layer it was time to assemble the flower.  I added 3mm double headed pink pearl stamens to the centers…gorgeous!!

The dies are from Rox Stamps – Topper, Lady E Design Flower 001 Cutting Die Set, and Cottage Cutz.

I embossed one of the layers with a swiss dot embossing folder as the white seemed a little boring as just plain white.  The layers were popped up with foam tape, and of course I couldn’t resist adding a little pink bling to my project

We’re Mermaid for Each Other

Hello everyone!

Seriously…how fun would it be to be a mermaid?  This adorable little mermaid couple is from Tiddly Inks Stamps.  For my guest design project this month, I will be joining the whole team in creating with these little sweeties.

Mermaid Couple

I printed the image at a height of 3.25″ on X-Press It Blending card and colored the little cuties with the following Copic markers.

~Copics~
Skin:  E11/21/00/000/0000-R20/30/00
Boy:  Hair:  Y15/11/00/YR23 – Tail:  BG49/15/13/11/10-YG05/01/00
Girl:  Hair:  E18/09/08/99/97 -Shell:  RV04/02 – Tail:  V06/04/01/000-RV55/02/00

Turtle:  E34/30-YG97/95/93/91-YG01

Mermaid Couple1

I started with a card base is 5.5″ with the layers each being 1/8″ smaller.  The background is colored with watercolor paints on watercolor paper.  Once dry, I used the largest scalloped edge frame and the second smallest single stitch line square frame from My Favorite Things to create the texture for the background.

Mermaid Couple2

I created the sentiment in Microsoft Word (Sunny Day Font) and then die cut it with a sentiment strip die from My Favorite Things.  The seaweed dies are from Memory Box.  I cut them out of X-Press It Blending card and colored them with the Copic markers listed above.

This adorable image is free during the this month’s challenge.  You can find the image here.
