Wishing you all the joys of the season

Hello friends!

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve joined the design team of Amanda Jayne Designs!!

My first project was created with this super adorable digital stamp called Candy Cane Lane. This digital stamp also comes with a cute little boy holding a candy cane.

I printed this sweet girl on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30, R00
Hair: E59, E57, E55, E53
Grays: W4, W3, W2, W1, W0, W00
Red: R59, R37, R35, R22
Green: YG67, YG99
White Gel Pen
Details added with colored pencils

I started by digging through my Christmas paper and found this candy cane paper that matched her so perfectly. I had recently purchased a new die from Papertrey Ink called ‘Love to Layer: Pinked Edge Squares’ that I love and wanted to use, but as it’s square it wasn’t going to work without making some modifications. To create a rectangle I partially die cut it from both ends re-adjusting the die to stretch it. From there I added a few layers and two colors of ribbon.

As always you can find lots of adorable inspiration images here.

This gorgeous background paper from Ink n’Splatter’s Whispers of Winter 6×6 Paper Pad was the perfect snowy sky for these little playful friends.

I added a few ink blended trees and a few snow drifts for them to play in.

To you xxx

Hello crafty friends!

It’s time for another challenge at All Dressed Up Stamps. Today’s image is actually a combination of parts of two different images.

With Wendy’s permission I used the fairy from the Fairy Bauble image and the presents from the Christmas Present image and created this sweet fairy sitting atop her gifts.

I printed this beautiful fairy on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with the following markers.

~Copics~
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30, R00
Hair: E57, E55, E31, E30
Ribbons: BG75, BG72, BG70. White Gel Pen
Red: R89, R46, R24, R05
Gold: W3, Y28, YR31, YR30, E40
Wings: W2, YR31, YR30
Grounding: W5, W3, W1, W0, W00
Nuvo Glitter Gloss

I’m always thinking of different ways to be creative…my mind never rests! I love how this combined image turned out!

All she needed was a pretty bow to finish off the card.

I decided she needed a design on her hat so she could be a little fancy. I penciled in very light lines so I knew where to add the color. One I had the colors added I more design with a white gel pen.

I added snow with a white gel pen and Stardust Stickles.

Wishing you a warm and cozy Christmas season!

Hello and welcome!

Does anyone else want to own a penguin for real besides me? I so wish I could, but it would have to be one of the smaller ones. Their waddle is so adorable!

It’s time for another Facebook Challenge at All Dressed Up Stamps. The theme for November is ‘Christmas is Coming’.

My inspiration today is from the cute and fun digital image called ‘Christmas Penguins‘.

These adorable penguin friends were printed on X-Press It Blending Card and were colored with the following markers.

~Copics~
Gray: C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2
Red: R89, R46, R29, R27, R24, R08, R05
Green: YG95, YG93, YG91
Yellow: YR18, YR15, Y35, Y15
Cheeks: R20, R30, R00

I decided on a theme of only white with a pop of color for this card which is unusual for me. I decided to use an embossing folder for the background to give it some interest.

Being true to myself and style I added layers and just a hint of red through the open circles from the background die.

Once all my pieces were die cut I got to work on ink blending. The background was ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass. I added some watered down white Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleed Proof White for the white splatters, and then added a few very tiny dots here and there with the my Copic marker B91. The trees were ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink in the color Bundled Sage.

Once everything was dry I added some sparkle with Stickles Glitter Glue – Stardust.
