Just poppin’ up to say hello

Hello my froggy friends!

This sweet image from Digi Doodle Studios is part of the Pond Life Pairables Digi Stamp Set.  The paper is from the digital set called On the Pond.

I absolutely love this adorable digi stamp set!  I had the image of a little boy stuffing frogs in his pockets and thought this card design would be perfect.

I printed these adorable little frogs on X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with the following Copic Markers.

~Copics~
Frog:  YG97, YG95, YG93, YG91, YG03, YG01, YG00, YG0000, E84
Eyes:  BV20, BG70, B000, Colorless Blender

I started with an idea I found on Pinterest, but couldn’t find an SVG file that was quite what I was looking for.  I have the mindset…if there is a will, there is a way.  So…I opened up my Silhouette software and got to work creating.  I however, wasn’t prepared for the hours involved since this is the first file I created…lol

The card base is A2 size – top folding.

I love, love, love the digi paper, but it was a little too dark for the frogs to stand out.  To make the paper lighter I brought it into Photoshop and changed the opacity to 60%.  This leaves all the colors the same, but just lightens it up.

As always, you can find an abundance of gorgeous inspiration images for sale here.

Oh my gosh this is adorable. I don’t have a silhouette but I do have a cricut. Are you willing to share your SVG file for the cutouts for the card only, not all the embellishments? If not, I understand because it does take a lot of hours to create, and I will spend that time on my cricut if necessary because I love your design.

Hi Suzanne. I am so glad that you love my design. I still have it in bits and pieces on my silhouette as I was in a hurry. I do not have plans at this point to sell my design. I would hope that you would create something of your own and not exactly as I have, as it is my work.

I love everything about this!!! Super cute image, and your idea for using it is sheer brilliance! I love that you created your own design when what you wanted wasn’t available. I have relied on my Silhouette for just that thing many times! And bonus points for being versed enough in PS to make changes to your paper! I’m duly impressed!!! So glad you shared this adorable card with us at 2CCC and I hope you will be back again soon!
